Happy New Year!
I write this while people outside our convent are making a lot of noise with their fire crackers and car horns. 2005 has finally arrived. With the new year, I set up this blog hoping to offset some recent difficulties that we’ve been having with the server that hosts AgustinongPinoy.
If you have noticed, AgustinongPinoy has been often down during these past weeks. Although we are not sure how often this has been, we have come to know that the present webhost is having difficulties maintaining continuous service to our site. So in order to keep you updated of the goings at AgustinongPinoy when it is down or not, we have called upon the service of WordPress to provide us with a place to blog that is independent of Hollosite’s server. “Straight From The Heart” will serve to tell you what is happening at AgustinongPinoy and will double as an archive for its newletters.
The fact that AgustinongPinoy’s server has been acting up lately has prompted us to search for a suitable replacements in case the website cannot come up on your browser screen. We opened up a blog called “In The Hole” a spin-off of my blogs at the blogging network. For some reason, however, its login page would not come up. (A forum discussion at Blogsome informs us that this may be due to an entry in the blog’s htaccess files and that this would be corrected once the admins returned from their Christmas break on January 4, 2005. But we can’t wait for January 4 since the possibility of Hollosite choking again is real.). Nor is the account at BlogThing (another Wordpress service) working. These setbacks notwithstanding, we have found the present service suitable for our purposes. So for the rest of the year, we hope to make use of this blog as your AgustinongPinoy prompter from the index page of AngFrayle.
