I haven’t done much really in the way of updating the contents of AgustinongPinoy. After it became visible on the web again, all I’ve done is to post somethings about my forty-third birthday celebration. The most recent post is about last Saturday evening’s birthday celebration at the parish.. Bible Notes Simply Blogs and the Mystical Geek have been quite dynamic. I have been posting almost everyday on those blogs. Those of the Mystical Geek are recycled posts from an exclusive blogging network where I write on Spirituality and Web Technology. My WordPress tutorials at Blogsome is picking up a readership. You may also want to check it out.
When I logged online after lunch, AgustinongPinoy was up so I immediately added some updates in Bible Notes and Blogs.AgustinongPinoy. I honestly don’t know whether the site will now remain accessible or if this is just temporary. Let’s wait and see. In the meantime, just read what I posted recently.
I had a brief glimpse of AgustinongPinoy last night (January 2, 23:15, GMT+8) from a friend’s computer. We were at a party and during a lull, I asked the host if I could check my email for a second. I did check my email but before I closed the computer, I decided to check on AgustinongPinoy. Finally it was back online! Looks like the guys at Hollosite did some overtime job on their server.
I checked AgustinongPinoy again this afternoon before I went to see “Spirit of the Glass” with a friend. I had an hour on the web but it was not only AgustinongPinoy I visited. It was enough for me to see that the site is still accessible before I moved on to other pages.
“Daily, Daily” was also up. Finally I was able to login and register a new member into the site. Before Blogsome had problems with its htaccess files, I was thinking of making “Daily, Daily” an alternate news blog for AgustinongPinoy. But suddenly something happened which made it difficult for me and others to post anything new in Blogsome Wordpress installations. That prompted me to put up the present account at WordPressBlogs.Com. Since “The Monitor” is now doing what I had intended to do with “Daily, Daily” in the first place, what should I do with the latter?
Boh! Let me think about it for a few days. (I was thinking that maybe, TropangQuazo78 would be interested in a community blog?)

Cheap webhosting isn’t the answer. I got one for AgustinongPinoy and I am stuck with it. Right now the effects are showing: additional downtimes, buggy URL rewrites, PERL scripts that don’t work plus bandwidths that are limited. This morning, I had the chance to work on AgustinongPinoy. After lunch, I tried to access it to update my blogs, and guess what? It is no longer available. This is the third time this week that it is down. I never experienced the same thing with the other webhosts I’ve tried before. Hollosite (which is a server of 100WebSpace is down once more.
It is a pain I tell you. Websites should be up 99.9% of the time. This is one of the reasons why the best webhosts are really not cheap. I thought that with the services offered by 100WebSpace, I was getting a nice deal. It is only now that I’m realizing how wrong I’ve been in getting their services. After all the content I’ve put in AgustinongPinoy (all those within a month!), it is now too late to back off and ask for my money back.
