New Resource Site

Filed under:

Check this out.. It is a website that I hope could be used for Philosophy and Theology. I have begun a project at my Wiki for links to website resources for philosophy and theology and I am going to post the results there. I began it last night. The page looks skewed in Mozilla, but not in I.E. I hope to design a page that will be viewable through any browser.

Currently my biblical apostolate websites aren’t doing well. Otium Sanctum suffered from a recent MySQL breakdown. Lectio Divina hasn’t been updated regularly because of the recent downtime of AgustinongPinoy. And the rest… well, the rest are just getting along. I am worried that I’d have problems with bandwidth later on that is why I am trying to drive out traffice from my site by setting up these offsite links. In any case, we survive.

Cannot Connect To DB Server

Filed under:

For some reason or another, the parish website cannot be accessed. I was told that the database stopped responding. It is working again though. Try it out.

Testing Kubrick’s Layout

Filed under:

Kubrick is one of the better layouts available for Wordpress. The only problem I have with it are the images for the header and the advertisement banner incorporated in the layout. Anyway, I’ll have the chance to introduce my innovations for the layout later.

Wordpress Strayhorn Is Out!

Filed under:

WordPress 1.5 is out and looks good too. But I don’t know whether I would want to upgrade my current blogs. Bible Notes is WP 1.2. To upgrade it to 1.5 can be tricky. The same goes with Glitches In Time.

More Updates On The Diego de Herrera Case

This could have been a post at AgustinongPinoy, but it is still down, so I posted it somewhere else. Go here. The post should also give you an idea of what we did special today for Fr. J. :)

TropangQuazo Where Are You?

Filed under:

Just in case some member of TropangQuazo passes by and finds these blogs:
I have recently created a Google Group account for TropangQuazo. You can find it at this link. I originally intended it for batch 78, but seeing that there wasn’t any other batch represented there, I am putting it at the disposal of ANY TropangQuazo batch for news updates and for collaborative work on the web. The promotional box for the Google Group is found here If you have a website, just copy the HTML codes for the box and post it somewhere on your site. That would be a great help for helping others find TropangQuazo@googlegroups.com

News About AgustinongPinoy
It is still down, that’s what. This is getting to be realy bad. Not even the server where the site is installed has been accessible. Just keep on checking this blog for updates. :(

So What’s New?

Filed under:

Right now, I am wondering whether it is possible to create a javascript that would automatically show to the browser whether a particular site is up or down (in this case AgustinongPinoy) so that anyone who visits the site is immediately redirected to Angfrayle. Knowing however that the guys from 100WebSpace are installing new hardware to the server makes the downtime understandable. In any case, the fact that AgustinongPinoy is once more down throws me off balance. I couldn’t do anything with the site, nor can others do anything to it (like cataloguing the changes I’ve made since yesterday and giving it more exposure in search engines).
In any case, I have not been wholly idle. A request from one of those who have been following my tutorials have asked me about blogging. So I am turning the former “Daily, Daily” blog into a WordPress Tutorial. It is now called “DigiTyped” and I hope that others would register there and have their first experience of blogging under my wings.
I have also beefed up my old Simply Blogs. I had intended “Simply Blogs” to be a kind of “scratch WordPress.” In other words, it was a kind of development-WordPress that I practised on, modifying, customizing according to my own needs, so that I can use the skills I’ve developed in real WordPress production blogs; a “sketchpad” you might say, in relation to the painting that is displayed. I am putting it at your disposal, and the disposal of the blogosphere for whatever usefulness it may have in terms of the ideas I express therein.
Boh, so much for the day’s activities…

Didn’t Take 24 Hours After All

Filed under:

AgustinongPinoy is back up once more. It didn’t take the whole twenty-four hours for the guys at 100Webspace to do their job. So I was able to post some new things at AgustinongPinoy. There is a note however about server hardware still to be checked. We hope that nothing bad happens to the server once more.

Up Again, Down Again

Once more, AgustinongPinoy is down.

hollosite.com and idohost.com down due to hardware failure

Publish date - 2005-01-05

Dear Customers,

Our server hosting hollosite.com and idohost.com is down due to hardware failure. We are currently replacing hardware items on the machine and the maintenance will continue during the next 24 hours. We need to set up and test the new hardware in order to avoid any further complications.

Thank you for your understanding and appreciate your patience on this matter!

It is really a pain.

Technorati Profile and a New Web Presence

Filed under:

I finally got my Technorati profile. I still don’t know what it means to have one; it seems however that one cannot blog without it. As for convenience, it is useful in getting one or two of your blogs into a search engine (that of Technorati) and becomes accessible to other bloggers that way.
I have a new URL for The Mystical Geek. It is a URL that is short and easy to remember. Yahoo Domains gave me a deal that I could not refuse so now, in addition to www.albertesmeralda.name, I now also have www.albertesmeralda.com.
